Testimony by: Marshalla Cofer
"I found out about this tremendously valuable ministry, GriefShare, a few weeks after my husband passed from a lung disease called Sarcoidosis. God's gift to me is my current life. I have a new normal that I'm learning how to navigate through GriefShare. Sometimes I pause and say is this really my life? We had 35 years together and I'm thankful for them, grateful for the gift of this time. God is in control and I thank Him for His wisdom and control over my situation. What I've learned through this course is 1) everyone grieves differently. I can relax and truly embrace me and grieve at my pace. 2) It's ok if I need to cry and I can ask for help. 3) Grief doesn't have a holiday and it can ambush me at any time by a smell or song, so this ministry operates all year round being available for the unexpected moments. I've completed the course but continue to come because of the support and answers to so many questions I did not even know how to voice. If you've suffered a loss, you owe it to yourself to join a group and take advantage of life experiences others have shared."
